Why do you do triathlons?
I love triathlons because I feel I can train consistently harder across all three disciplines. If my legs hurt from a tough bike session, I can concentrate on swimming the next day and it means I can always take something positive out of my racing and training because of it.
When was your first triathlon?
I think it was in 2009, but there was a long break, and started racing triathlons again in 2012
What have you learned from your previous races?
Everyone knows what they need to do and everyone knows what their weaknesses are, by not focusing on your weakness or hoping that your weakness will magically improve, you could be in for a tough day when the race comes around.
What are your short and long-term racing & training goals?
– Swim 1km in under 15 minutes(I’m dreaming)
– Cycle non stop for 200km
– Race my first IronMan Triathlon
Do you have a strong background in any of the 3 events (swim, bike, run)?
I used to run middle distance track and cross country at high school and then started doing a few fun runs in my mid 20’s.
How would you describe the experience of your training with Tri Swim Coach?
I have been using Tri Swim Coach for close to 2 years and am now a member of the Team 500. It has been great source of information and allowed me to focus heavily on what was my weakest leg and I consider now my swim would probably be my strongest leg.
Your favorite post-race meal?
I hate to say this, but pizza.
